We climbed all 311 steps up a very tight circular staircase. Passing was difficult not to mention the last 200 steps. The views of London are spectacular. The monument was built by Sir Christopher Wren between 1671 and 1677 to commemorate the great fire of London and to celebrate the rebuilding of London.
